Hope is Delicious

Our vision here at Soul Kitchen is to serve healthy, delicious, and when possible, organic meals. At the Soul Kitchen you will notice there are no prices on the menu and you might have been seated with someone you don’t know. Customers pay the minimum donation or volunteer in some way to earn a voucher for a meal.

Our volunteer opportunities fall into two categories: 1) those that need to volunteer in order to provide a meal for themselves and/or their families; and 2) those that volunteer to help staff the kitchen to assist in providing the meals to those in need. For those that need to volunteer in order to provide a meal for themselves and/or their families, JBJ Soul Kitchen will always have an opportunity open for you. Please visit us during our hours of operation or email us at info@jbjsoulkitchen.org.

Red Bank Train Station is a commuter train station located in Red Bank, New Jersey, United States. It is one of 20 New Jersey Transit commuter rail stations on the North Jersey Coast Line. It is located on Bridge Avenue between Monmouth and Oakland Streets, and consists of two high-level platforms on either sides of grade crossings.
Red Bank Station has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1976.

Red Bank's distinctive Station House is one of the last remaining examples of the Stick Style station houses built by the New York and Long Branch Railroad in the 1870s. The Stick style was a late-19th-century American architectural style. According to McAlester, it served as the transition between the Carpenter Gothic style of the mid-19th century, and the Queen Anne style that it evolved into and superseded it by the 1890s. (The NY&LB line was later taken over by the Central Railroad of New Jersey.) This distinctive depot was opened on June 24, 1975. It has been renovated and restored several times, and now belongs to New Jersey Transit. The building of the railroad in the 1860s and 70s brought increasing numbers of visitors and settlers to Red Bank, and ended dependence on steamboats for transportation.

When England's King George VI and Queen Elizabeth visited Red Bank on June 10, 1939, they arrived by train. They then traveled by motorcade to Sandy Hook to board a naval warship for their visit to New York.
