This is in Switzerland, one of many peak in Mount Titlis in Alps range.
This impossing and very impressive rock formation is awe inspiring.
Had this is been any where in Asia,
this will be the most prominent and popular pilgirmge centre for Hindus, Buddists and Jains and Holy place for all Asians.
I was curious and made inquiry about this rock with many who frequent this place.
None has ever noticed and no one attached any siginificance to this imposing natural rock formation.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------This is a natural rock formation in the likeness of Maitreya Buddha on Mt. Titlis near Lucerne. This is a great capture. There is a real story attached to this Buudha like statue. On January 6, 1996, Donghua Li, a Chinese Swiss citizen, a champoion of pommel horse, discovered a natural stone Buddha like statue at the peak of Mt.Titlis. The statue seemed inaccessible and gave an impression of mystery of holiness. The statue seemed wearing a monk's robe with a straight head and body, sitting crossed legged on a rectangular pedestal. It looked like the smiling form of Maitreya Buddha. When the rays of sunshine pierced through the clouds and illuminated the statue, it was a glorious sight for Li. At this overwhelming sight, Donghua Li resolved to win the Olympic medal with the blessings of Buddha. His dream came true in 1996. He has won the titles in China, Switzerland, Europe, World and Olympic Championships. Best wishes, Suresh------------
