Dramatically perched on a sheer coastal cliff south west of Ayr, is the lonely ruins of Greenan Tower.
Built in 1603 by John Kennedy of Baltersan on the site of an earlier castle raised by the Davidson family, though nothing remains of this castle.

Spirit of Scotland with Loudoun Hill as a backdrop created by artist Richard Price and erected in 2004.
This piece of fabricated steel stands at over 5 metres tall, the words and imagery on the sculpture refer to an important historical figure William Wallace.
