On our family beach trip a couple years ago, I snuck away one morning for a sunrise at a nearby wildlife refuge. The place was so neat that I brought the family back a couple of days later.
Lindsey was pregnant with our youngest at the time. We printed this image to hang in the baby's nursery.

Fast forward from my last image a year and a half to my youngest's first beach trip. We got ourselves ready for some self portraits on the beach, but the wind was crazy for most of the week with a tropical system moving through. This tender moment will forever be a part of how I remember Lindsey as a mom. The family pictures from this night were a disaster, but who cares. Such a sweet moment.

Hi friends! It's been a while. Flickr notified me that I had too many private photos, so I wanted to jump on here to deal with that. I'll start sharing the very limited selection of images I have taken over the last 3 years. My photography has definitely taken a back seat with 2 small kids, but I'm loving being Daddy. Life is very good.
Kicking off the archive sharing (because new content is just not my thing right now): This one is from 2.5 years ago, when our youngest was just a week old. He fell asleep while I was taking pictures (perfect!). Jack popped in spontaneously with a nose nuzzle. I had enough time for 1 frame.
Hoping you are all well!

Some good friends of ours live about 10 minutes away from Caesar's Head State Park. When we visited them this summer, it was too easy to sneak over for a sunrise. I didn't mind the overcast conditions in the slightest, especially when a little bit of sweet color showed up.

Good morning folks. I've been absent for a while absolutely swamped with work and house projects. We just returned from a trip to the beach, so I was able to break out the camera for a little bit of action while we were there.
On an overcast morning, this white ibis is in search of breakfast for its young, not far from a pond absolutely full of ibis and egret nests. It was a glorious morning alone on an island following around a flock of birds.
The image is total luck. I meant to have a higher shutter speed to catch several of them taking off. Fortunately with this one, I seem to have panned the camera with his head.
