It was a cloudy, foggy and lucky day. This is the first Bald Eagle I have ever seen at Bolsa Chica. Ethan (leg band 5D) was hatched in April 2015 on Bald Canyon Nest on San Clemente Island and fledged in July 2015. He has a sister named Koko (5M). His Dad, K-76, hatched at the Twin Rocks nest in 2007 and is the first naturally hatched Catalina bird to begin breeding. His Mom, A-32, was collected from a
nest near Juneau, AK in 2004 and released on Santa Cruz Island. Thanks to Lam-Son Vinh for the timely tip about Ethan at Bolsa Chica.
