They are still in Germany and they are dancing. What a beautiful moment. Unfortunately it was rainy and to dark for better captures.
But I loved watching them.
Am meisten fasziniert der "Tanz" der Kraniche. Normalerweise führen ihn die Tiere in der Paarungszeit im Frühjahr auf. Wegen der phantasievollen Balzgebärden werden sie daher auch "Tänzer des Nordens" genannt. "Aber sie tanzen eigentlich in jeder Erregungssituation" Und die kann der Anblick eines Seeadlers auslösen - oder ein Streit um Nahrung. Wer da gerade tanzt, ist für den normalen Beobachter nicht zu erkennen - Männchen und Weibchen sehen nahezu identisch aus.
The "dance" of the cranes fascinates the most. Normally, the animals list it during the mating season in the spring. Because of the imaginative courtship gestures, they are therefore also called "Dancers of the North". "But they actually dance in every arousal situation" and this can trigger the sight of a sea eagle - or a dispute over food. Who is dancing there, is not recognizable for the normal observer - males and females look almost identical.
