We walked around Olympic Park for a while in Beijing. I'd read that some of the installations from the 2008 Olympics were abandoned and falling apart already, but that must be for weird sports like kayaking, because the main area with the national stadium (bird's nest) and the "water cube" are incredibly filled with tourists, even though the places don't really "do" anything.
