As the deepening blue hue of the dusk settles in over Manarola, the hubbub of tourists gives way to the quiet sound of the gentle evening tide lapping the shoreline.

My second visit to this photogenic region of Italy was as impressive as my first. Despite there seeming to be an order of magnitude more tourists, it was still possible to find times of day where the crowds quietened down and you could enjoy the picturesque towns in peace.
