At just two days old, our new grandson Luke wasn't opening his eyes a lot, but I can't say that I blame him, given the brightness of the overhead lights.

I only wanted to use fill flash, but by the time I figured out how to couple my radio transmitter and receiver for my flash, I had lost all the light and had to shoot this in the dark. Oh, well. They're still a beautiful family and I'll have lots of other opportunities. Luke is only 17 days old.

Grandson, Luke, in my new studio. Not really. This was in the trunk of his parents' car. :) I love the directional light, though. I shot this after the five of us took a four-mile hike along the San Luis Rey River Trail near our house. We heard a whole lot of birds, but saw few, due to the dense cover along the trail. Didn't see much of the river, either, for the same reason.
