Alabama Hills is the most scenic pile of rocks that you'd ever want to shoot and I'm not the only one who thinks so. This is a really popular spot for photographers and scenes shot in the area have appeared in over 400 movies and TV series, dating back to the early times in the industry.
I was surprised to see that the first link that popped up on a Google search turned out to link to this image, made by one of the instructors, Bill Wight, for the workshop that I'm currently attending. I made this image last night at sunset, facing Northeast. Bill shot his toward the snow-covered Sierra Nevada to the West.
