Just to clarify the title, this is an Osprey that was eating a fish - not a fish that eats Osprey. ;-)
Want to know my secret for getting him to stop eating and to pose like that? I called him on my iPhone. No, Jeannie, this is not one of my jokes. I really did. Well, to be totally accurate, I called him with my iPhone, not on it. I have an application on it that plays bird calls and this was his reaction when I played the Osprey call.

All those reflections can make one dizzy.
Another one of those disappointments after opening in Flickr. Much better if you View On Black or View Large On Black, but it's still not as good as the original.

He was plunging his head into the water, then flipping it out, in order to splash water on it, at a rate that would have given me a headache and/or a neck-ache. Thank goodness for hands (and showers)! Although, I think I'd trade them in a heartbeat for wings that would enable me to fly.
Thanks for the ID, Ducklover Bonnie. Prior to viewing your image of one, I had a really hard time identifying this duck, which I guess a lot of people do, according to this interesting article about hybrid mallards.
