200 on Explore! - My previous shot marked my 200th photo to make it to Explore. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who contributed to that effort, whoever you are. I don't know how you did it, but please keep it up. ;-)

My family history is strongly tied to these flowers. Please see my profile for the details. It took me a long time (17 years, actually) to mourn the loss of my business, but I finally worked up the courage to visit The Flower Fields last week and I was glad I did, even though I had mixed emotions, since they have become so "touristy". Better that than to disappear, I suppose.

Given that it was overcast, cold, and windy, Denise was such a good sport to pose for me, so that I could practice my portraiture skills. Although I still have a lot to learn, I couldn't be happier with the results on this shot.
