I'm not bragging -- this was an accident. Really! My first attempt at shooting tide pools. I was kind of disappointed with the photo opportunities in them, because they looked mostly drab, but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the shots in Photoshop and saw that they are quite colorful, even it the colors are subdued. Everything in this picture was under water.

Most of the time, I think slugs are ugly, but you can hardly see this one, so it's not so bad. In fact, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find the sea slug in this photo.
Hint: it helps if you View On Black.

Sherlock Sea Hare, on making his normal sleuth rounds, discovers a tiny, colorful object, spiraled at the bottom of his pool. Is it an unwelcome sea snake? Something good to eat? Neither. It's a very fine necklace that's been here for who knows how long. And it's broken. Perhaps it was used to strangle somebody. Maybe it has crossed the ocean from Hawaii or the Orient. Maybe it's a beautiful princess Sea Hare, who has been turned to stone. OK, I know that's lame, but what did you expect from a slug?

From Pelican Point at Crystal Cove State Park, California.

Much Better On Black. Best is Original size (at least on my monitor). Jill says my photos are too dark, so I tried to make this one lighter, while still having good contrast. Everyone's monitor is different, so I can only guess what looks best on the average one, if there is such a thing. I'd appreciate hearing how this looks on yours.
