This guy came to the front door the other day, offering to paint our mailbox and house number on the curb. Normally, I cut these people off in mid-sentence and tell them I not interested. (Although I did spend a little extra time listening to the Jehovah's Witness, a couple of Saturdays ago, because she had the most gorgeous blue eyes.)
Anyway, the guy had such a good sales pitch, with his portfolio and everything, that I fell for it. Turned out really well, I think and it should look even better when the plumbago around it blooms. We used to have pink geraniums mixed in with the plumbago, that would have looked really good, but the plumbago and/or gophers ate them.

I wanted a faster macro lens, so that I could try to get sharper images of the fish in the aquariums at Sea World. Naturally, I had to try it out as soon as possible, so I took it in the backyard and shot with it wide open. This rose was the only thing that I could find that was attractive, but it was wat above my head and I was too lazy to get a ladder, so I just held my camera over my head and looked through the viewfinder to roughly frame it (too lazy to use Live View, too.)
