I cross this bridge twice a day, on my way to and from work. I was a little nervous about going over it the first couple of days, because of the height. Although the vertical clearance is a mere 200 feet, it feels like you're a lot higher when you're driving over it at 65 50 mph (the speed limit).
How lucky I am to work at such a beautiful place!
The cranes look like they're on the ship that's passing under the bridge, but they're not. They're in the ship-building yard, next to the bridge.
Looks like the snow level was pretty low last night. My guess is that those hills are only a couple of thousand feet high and maybe 20 miles inland.

This is neither HDR nor Orton. This is my own new effect that I'm working on. Here's how I did it. First, I set my camera's DOF to 0. That way, I'm assured that there will be no place in the entire pic that's in focus. Then, I set the IS on my lens to -3. This adds shake to the camera, rather than removing it. Next, I misapplied the rule of thirds by composing the shot so that there is approximately 1/3 at the top, 1/3 in the middle, and 1/3 at the bottom.

(By the way, ISU stands for "I Screwed Up".)

The colors aren't too bad, though.

I reprocessed this image in the native resolution of my Macbook Pro Retina Display (2880X1800) to make a desktop image for it and uploaded it here in that resolution as an experiment. If you take a look at the Original size and then imagine all those pixels compressed to a 15" screen, you can get an idea of how awesome it looks on my Mac. Looks pretty good here, too, in Fullscreen, but nowhere near as good as on my Mac.

By the way, this isn't an HDR. Just a few layers adjustments, fixes with the Spot Healing brush, and a little work with the Sharpen Tool, in Photoshop CS6.
