Gus is certified with Southwest Search Dogs in Trailing and Cadaver. He and his owner/handler Carol, along with a few of the other teams, recently attended a cadaver seminar in San Luis Obispo, where he shined, but I never saw him smile. Carol, on the other hand, is always smiling.

Carol obtained Gus through the Helen Woodward Center, which is one of the best facilities in San Diego County, so he is a rescued dog that does rescues. (Actually, we say that we're more Search Dogs than Rescue Dogs, because we find people, we don't rescue them.)
