These fire tornadoes were jumping across the four-lane highway.

Due to an extensive drought in Oklahoma from late September 2005 until spring of 2006, every little spark seemed to set of a raging grass fire. This was taken just south of Seminole, Okla., during the December wildfires.

This is my third photo to pass 10,000 views (Dec. 2009)

This man served in three foreign wars (WWII, Korea, Vietnam). He wasn't actually saluting the flag; but honoring a fallen comrade.

This is how Oklahoma summers make me feel. It's why I prefer winter. :-)

Trying to copy the shot I took of Marline, I used myself as the subject, and Marline supplied the light. This is a single exposure, with a handheld spotlight as the only light source. Photoshop was only used for the duotone processing, and to crop out part of the ceiling.

Seminole Police officers move in on the house at 915 E. Broadway, as the man inside shows both hands, as he's been ordered. Reportedly, a man there was "off his medication" (according to a different officer), and had threatened his wife with a firearm.

I was just driving by on my way to lunch when I saw the officers pull in.

From left: Officer Brad Willis, [unknown subject], Officer Willie Williams, and Sgt. Thomas Mackey. Another officer, Terry McGinnis was watching the back of the house.

No one was hurt.
