This old Colonial house in Warren Street was built in 1811 by Robert Jenkins, Hudson's third Mayor.
Jenkins was the son of Seth Jenkins, who, with his brother Thomas, founded the town of Hudson and was its first Mayor.
The house is now a museum containing various Hudson-related articles including historic documents, maps and books relating to whaling, military artifacts, and other archaic items.

The Hudson River is 507 km long and begins at Henderson Lake in Newcomb, upstate New York. It flows southward past Albany, the state capital, and eventually forms the boundary between New York City and New Jersey before emptying into Upper New York Bay.
