This building was originally the Farinera Teixidor (Teixidor Flour Mill), built between 1910 and 1911. It is now the headquarters of the newspaper El Punt and comprises two structures joined by a passage that serves as the entrance to the mill. Its ceramic and wrought-iron work, clearly showing the influence of Gaudí, make it one of the most noteworthy Modernist buildings in Girona. It can be found on Carrer Santa Eugènia, 42

When this photo was taken in the early evening of 11 July 2008, the temperature was a muggy 38°Celsius. A massive storm cloud had built up behind the city to the north, so I had to move quickly to capture this image while the sun was still shining on the cathedral and church.
