I saw this massive billboard (it's about 7 feet tall) outside a REWE supermarket in Bavaria.
It says: Hungry? Then visit our snack counter in the store.
No mention of healthy options ... except for the piece of tree-like lettuce on the right. :)
Germany still openly advertises alcohol, cigarettes, vaping and high-fat foods. Cigarettes can be bought at the supermarket checkout, and there are cigarette vending machines in most streets across the country. It's common to see people (mainly me, young and old) walking along the street, or sitting in trains or trams, drinking beer. And it's getting worse.
