Another rare bird. Considered vulnerable, this one is on the decline in Spain. I have only seen them twice, once a pair and then , four last week.

I have seen these four or five times now but always in the far distance. I waited for a couple of hours in a blind at El Hondo for them to come closer. Of course, there were a few retreats when people would come to the blind just after they had started to come closer. They would retreat and the wait would start again. Well worth it though.
