I found this Bald Eagle feeding on a Mallard on the frozen part of the river as I was approaching toward the bridge. I was able to find a decent spot facing directly toward the Eagle and I was shooting between the branches while laying on my stomach like a sniper. I wasn't sure if this Eagle killed this Mallard or stole it from others.

On that day I witnessed that two of the three young Bald Eagles were quite capable of flying. Only one remained at the nest. I'm sure by now that last young eagle probably left the nest too, and I don't think there will be any more opportunities at the nest anymore.

These photos will probably be my last posting unless I encounter some good photo captures.

This shot was taken as I was leaving the woods near the fence. Dale and his friend stayed behind to watch the young eagles and wait for this adult to return. Well, I managed to startle it as I was framing and taking my shots between all the leaves/branches above me. It took off a few seconds later and flew toward the nest.

I think these will probably be the last good opportunities of the adult for awhile as 2 of the 3 young eagles are quite capable of flying at high altitude.

I will post the young eagles soon.
