Weather is getting wintry - at least by Vancouver standard . What better way to spend a day. looking at photo books, eating well.
In memory of Fidel - and Burt Glinn - "Habana" was circulated around. Classic photo journalism . Glinn left New York New Years Eve in 1958 - caught the last flight to Havana. having scrounged up some money and film from friends. !0-12 days of shooting, trying to Find Fidel and follow him into Havana. Great story - romancing the classic photo journalism story - living on rum, chicken and cigars.
