Just did a first, quick, shot walking up to Cafe Zen. Mainly to remember how to use the Sony 7 outside! Hate sitting around the table at Zen and pressing buttons, This way I at least look like I know what I am doing among all the digital experts!

Howard is heading back to HK next week and won't be back for several months. last Zen for him until sometime in May.

David doing a IPhone shot of our regular table for Arnaud who is somewhere in the mountains of France at the moment! He is otherwise a regular at Zen. He did come back with an answer quickly and , yes, he missed us too.
This is at f1.8 - the focus assist on the A7 is very good - outlines the correct focus subject with nice bright lines!

Stephen Gandy sent me an adapter for using Nikon Rf lenses on the Sony A7. There are lots of adapter for Nikon Rf lenses to various Leica cameras - but they all suffer from one major drawback. The Nikkor 35mm f1.8 will not work on them! This adapter will do the 35f1.8 and also lenses like the vintage Biogon 21mm f4.5, the russian Jupiters from Kievs etc. It is a thing of beauty - some of the best machining that I have seen and a vastly improved spring lock for the lens.
I decided to take it along to todays breakfast at Cafe' Zen and though there were some comments about me shooting with a digital camera - the set up was greatly admired!

We are having yet another "pine-apple express" dumping lots of water on us - so I am running a bit behind with my film shooting.
