Peter gave an excellent presentation last Tuesday on vintage press-cameras. He actually used to work with them (and glass plates too!). The strange device in his hand is a swedish made "revolver" type flash bulb holder. As you fired them - you turned the ring and the next bulb popped in front of the reflector. I remember seeing a picture of one in the 60's - never seen one in "real life" though.

First Tuesday of the month, we gather at the "Deutches Haus" on Victoria and 33 rd street for dinner, mini-swap, and usually a good presentation. Mark had dragged in a boxes of small, weird things (and cheap!!!).
Obviously he did not take the offer from the hand!

Lower contrast than a modern, multicoated lens. The Opton Sonnar 50f1.5 does have a certain edge to it - but extremely smooth mid-tones. Perfect match for TriX/D76 too.
