End of the roll after a walk around the beach yesterday. The lanterns are not lit, it is the setting sun illuminating them.
This was a test with XX and Rodinal, 1:100/20 min. The XX did not really like it, speed was probably around 100 asa rather than 250. Solid blacks and almost graphic look to it.

Not much detail left in the shadows here. The Rodinal 1:100/XX combo would require at least one more stop here! 125 asa rather than 250.

"Dog Beach" late afternoon light. The loss of speed with Rodinal 1:100 does block up the shadows in the foreground.

High contrast light and a loss of 1 stop does block up the shadows and considering the name of the place, it is not only the shadows that gets blocked up. Arteries quiver when you go past!

High contrast light and a speed loss of a stop. Not a good combination, but here it somehow worked.
