On many occasions, intuition and wisdom disagree like two paths out of a big fork on a road. You can tell the nature of a man from the path he chooses. Pompous fools and vagabonds take the intuitive path whereas the road of wisdom is often chosen by folks who have been at the big fork before.
PS: I took the intuitive alley while shooting this baby hand-held with a focal length of 800mm, without autofocus and a very unstable image stabilizer (bliss of 2X teleconversion). Next time, I will borrow somebody's tripod.

The Redbud, though beautiful and gorgeous, is a sensitive tree. Her heartwood is tender… perhaps she wishes to remain vulnerable and happy, not stiff and dead. Thus maybe, her leaves manifest the inner core for they are truly heart shaped.
The goldfinch was probably aware of Redbud’s sensitivity. Hence, he came without his bright yellow vanity… he came as bare himself.
And they talked. They talked as kindred spirits. As much was spoken as was left unsaid but all was understood. Pain was touched, felt and erased. The resulting joy was real for it was engendered from true emotion that did not feel out of place in this protected temple of camaraderie. It felt, the universe nurtured them. Their little calm amongst the chaotic rest felt as precious and celestial as anything else in the universe. I think, they sensed that the great universe out there nodded and smiled in approval of their friendship.

Sometimes, the fight is not with oneself anymore. The bout goes out to the street where unforeseen adversaries lurk in darkness. However, the combat still relies on that dim light within which always flickers no matter how many knots the wind outside kicks up on that damn meter. The dim lamp is a coagulation of who we have been and who we are and who we shall be. The body is a mere paper lantern that shields this precious feeble lamp, which in turn, protects its fragile asylum with forces that defy senses. When the fight goes out to the street, it is time to summon these forces to erupt with all their might and pull-off this one battle at the fork-roads that is destined to define the beautiful tomorrow as it was always supposed to be.
