There are some places that from the moment you get there, they feel special. Your soul relaxes, your mind travels and you suddenly feel calm. Salk institute in San Diego is one of these places. I will be posting more pictures from this place in the future but I wanted to start with one that I feel conveys that feeling. The main courtyard is surrounded by modern design buildings, it has a pool at the edge of the cliff and an opening that overlooks the hills above the coast of Pacific Ocean. While you are there you will hear no voices or sounds, just the wind blowing from the ocean and the seagulls above you. Follow the fountain's line towards the infinity pool and for a moment become an "outenationalist", a shadow that lies between the "nations" of earth, ocean and sky.

Υπαρχουν καποια μερη τα οποια απο τη στιγμη που τα επισκεπτεσαι, τα αισθανεσαι μοναδικα. Η ψυχη σου χαλαρωνει, το μυαλο σου ταξιδευει και ξαφνικα νιωθεις ηρεμος. Το ινστιτουτο Salk στο San Diego ειναι ενα απο αυτα τα μερη. Θα αναρτησω περισσοτερες φωτογραφιες απο εκει στο μελλον, ηθελα ομως να ξεκινησω με αυτη που πιστευω περικλυει πιο εντονα αυτο το συναισθημα. Η κεντρικη αυλη του ινστιτουτου ειναι περικυκλωμενη απο κτηρια μοντερνου design, εχει μια πισινα και ενα ανοιγμα που βλεπει απο ψηλα τους βραχους της ακτης του Ειρηνικου Ωκεανου. Καθως εισαι εκει, δε θα ακουσεις δυνατες φωνες η ηχους. Θα ακουσεις μονο τον αερα που φυσα και τους γλαρους απο πανω σου. Ακολουθησε τις γραμμες της πηγης προς την πισινα και για μια στιγμη γινε ενας "διεθνιστης", μια σκια μεταξυ γης, ουρανου και ωκεανου..
