In Hinduism and Buddhism, the Sanskrit lexical item svāhā (Romanized Sanskrit transcription; Devanagari: स्वाहा , chi. 薩婆訶 sà pó hē, jp. sowaka, tib. soha) is an interjection, approximately "hail!" in mantras indicating the end of the mantra.
Whenever fire sacrifices are made, svāhā is chanted. Etymologically, the term is probably from su "well" and the root ah "to call".

Hi there everyone!
Varun has come over from kota and is one of the rare flickr friends that I have met in real life. We had loads of fun together and while discussing what PS could do to a shot, we made this.
I feel this is kinda inspired from this image from Matt Hansen that I saw an year ago. Though I liked his image much better than this. He is a genius. :) I hope you like this, Matt.
Its amazing how Photoshop can make you realise your vision of photography and reach whatever point you want from any start.
And I hope you all like this too.. Thanks for soooo much love on my previous uploads. I'm overwhelmed and it went a long way in inpiring me for creating something like this.

Magical Moments!
Shot at the recent traditional wedding that we covered.
Indian weddings are very bright events, filled with ritual and celebration, that continue for several days. They are generally not small affairs, with anywhere between 100 to 10,000 people attending. Oftentimes it is possible that many of the attendees are unknown to the bride and groom themselves. Though most Indian marriages are arranged, some couples in urban areas have what are known as "love marriages", where the partners decide to marry each other without family involvement or assistance. The traditional Indian wedding is more about two families being brought together socially, with much less emphasis on the individuals involved.
Many of the wedding customs are common among Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and even Muslims. They are a combination of local, religious and family traditions.
Shaadi (Hindi: शादी, Urdu: شادی) is a Sanskrit word for wedding. Asian weddings are a mainstay in the social calendar of the whole community. Many wedding traditions which have originated in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh have carried over to second and third generation immigrant populations in western countries such as the UK and United States. Increasingly younger Asian couples are starting to incorporate Western features into their weddings such as speeches the first dance as well as the traditional wedding cake.

It was night at a freezing farm in a beautiful village. The sky was bejeweled with diamonds crafted millions of years ago by the creator himself.
Right there, in the centre, lay the king of them all that watched its subjects go about their work beautifully while it sat snugly in the lap of the night. The cool breeze sent shivers down my spine but I couldn't quite blame it. I could see it already.
The tripod was now fixed and the shutter was locked. Rest of the unending time went into listening to the music from the shutter flip every 30 seconds for the next 2 hours.
It was night at a freezing farm in a beautiful village and now it was there. Right in my camera.
