LA ÚLTIMA ROSA DEL VERANO
Es la última rosa del verano, que solitaria queda floreciendo.
Todas sus adorables compañeras ya se han marchitado.
No hay flor de su linaje, no hay capullo cercano
que reflejen su rubor, o devuelvan suspiro por suspiro.
No dejaré que tú, solitaria, languidezcas en el tallo.
Ya que las adorables duermen, ve tú a dormir con ellas.
Así yo esparciré, suavemente, tus hojas sobre el lecho,
donde tus compañeras de jardín yacen ya sin perfume...

LAST ROSE OF SUMMER
It is the last rose of summer, which is blooming lonely. All her lovely companions are faded and gone. I will not let you, lonely, languish on the stem. as the adorable sleep, you go to sleep with them. So I will scatter gently your leaves on the bed, where your mates garden, sleeping already and unscented...
