Clouds, gotta love clouds. I sure do, even when they portend windy storms and havoc. Like this fine dawn with stormy clouds roiling over Mt. Heyburn and some of the Sawtooths reflected in the smooth waters of Little Redfish Lake before they turned into whipped whitecaps and waves. Wonderful!

Thanks for taking a look! Always appreciated.

Friday's here! Have a wonderful day and weekend!

I liked the way the foliage framed this upper portion of Rainier's Narada Falls. This is perhaps half of the fall's 168 foot (51 m) tumble. Taken in mid-September when flow was lower. Really roars come spring.

This is the largest waterfall on the Paradise river. A great example of a horsetail waterfall.

"The name Narada was proposed by Arthur F. Knight and adopted in 1893 for the Narada branch of the Theosophical Society of Tacoma. Narada is a Hindu word meaning 'uncontaminated' or 'pure'. Early variants on the spelling include Neradah, and the common mistake of Nevada Falls.

Curiously an 1897 map produced by Henry Sarvant and G.F. Evans marks a "Big Paradise Falls" along the Paradise River which is assumed to represent Narada Falls." worldwaterfalldatabase.com

Just one of the many impressive waterfalls at Rainier National Park.

Happy Earth Day!

"Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realize we cannot eat money."
-- Cree Indian Proverb

A wicked storm was gathering over Glacier's Grinnell Point and Swiftcurrent Falls. Like our dear home, a storm is gathering that is/will destroy it. Regardless of how you think it is caused, climate change must be addressed, now.

We photographers have a special connection, respect and love for our planet. It's beauty moves us to explore it, know it and seek to capture it's wonders for others to enjoy and appreciate. This day we give thanks and recognition of the importance of the health and survival of our only home. We must cherish, protect and preserve this special biosphere. Not for us alone, but for future generations.

Thanks for any and all efforts you do to support this vital challenge.

Thanks for your visit. Always appreciated!

Have a rest and cool off. This favorite bench sits on the bank of Glacier's Pray Lake with Never Laughs Mtn, Painted Teepee Peak and Mt. Sinopah rising in the distance.

We might hit triple digits today. Thought a refreshing snow shot might help.

Have a cool and wonderful Friday!

After a long wait I was pleased to see the morning fog clear away as the sun hit Jasper's Pyramid Peak, reflected in Pyramid Lake. Mornings like this are memories that one always cherishes.

A section of the bridge to Pyramid Island is on the left. Even on this chilly morning it didn't take long before the scene was crowded, and noisy......the beauty here draws many.

A few more perspectives in comments.

Your views, faves and suggestions are always appreciated!

Have a wonderful week!
