Another view of Oregon's Crooked River as it flows thru a portion of Smith Rock State Park.

Hiking the Misery Trail was one of the best hikes I've experienced (yet). HIghly recommended.

Your comments, faves and suggestions are much appreciated!

Happy Friday!

A view of the Palouse Falls taken from halfway down the cliff. Was a bit precarious and thrilling but worth it.

Another view of this special falls below:

Thanks for hiking along with me.

Enjoy a wonderful Sunday!

Mammoth Hot Springs village is Park headquarters and it radiates history, featuring some of the oldest buildings in the Park, including structures from the days when the U.S. Army was managing Yellowstone.

"Due to its year-round access and comparatively mild winters, Mammoth has always been the headquarters for the park. The hot springs were an early commercialized attraction for those seeking relief from ailments in the mineral waters. Two historic events taking place at Mammoth were the Nez Perce flight in 1877 and President Teddy Roosevelt’s visit in 1903.
All of the red-roofed, many-chimneyed buildings in the Mammoth area are part of historic Fort Yellowstone. "
