The glacial waters from Peyto Lake rush thru this impressive slot canyon. One of the oft-passed-bye wonders right off the Icefields Parkway. Only a .5 km walk to stand here. Highly recommended.

Missing the Sawtooths. One of Idaho's visual gems.

This was one fabulous morning. Naturally I hoped for lots of color and a great reflection. Instead woke up to rain and wind. Wonderful! Nice drama and power in those skies. Made for a nice blue hour shot.

A shot taken an hour, 40 minutes later when the sun arrived posted in comments.

Time for another mountain fix. Heading for Rainier National Park. First visit. Time to get up close and personal with The Mountain.

A view from Sanson Peak above Banff.

Lake Minnewanka and Banff Springs Hotel on left border. Bow River flowing on it's way to Calgary and distant Hudson Bay. Mt Rundle rising on the right. Love this view. The air up here was so fresh and invigorating.

One of my favorite benches to sit on and soak up the view is here at Jasper's Maligne Lake. The bench isn't far from the cruise boat docks that take one to iconic Spirit Island.

The historic red-roofed Curly Phillips Boathouse is nearby with Mt. Charlton and Mt. Unwin in the distance catching the last light of this fine day.
