One of the many names for the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies: Mt. Robson. Easy to see how it got this nickname. Like Denali and other high peaks Mt. Robson generates it's own weather, covering it most of the time.

Mount Robson (12,972 feet, 3,954 m) is the most prominent mountain in North America's Rocky Mountain range.

Mount Robson is the source of the longest river in British Columbia, the Fraser River. One of the great rivers on the continent.

This was by far the best shot I got of a mountain goat on my Alaska trip...:-))

Distant clouds captured the suns last glow nicely over BC's Fraser Lake.

The pioneer roots of the area’s history date back to the fur trade, with the establishment in 1806 of a fur-trading post by Simon Fraser, at Fort Fraser near the east end of Fraser Lake.

Tried something different here. The berry bush was dark so used the flash to brighten it up. Worked well.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Fall foliage along the Elk River with Mt. Fernie in the distance. The Three Sisters of BC on the right.

Great hiking and skiing around Fernie BC.

Thanks for taking a look! Always appreciated.

A lineup of artist's work their art while other's stroll past enjoying the Village.

During the 2010 Winter Olympics Whistler hosted mosted of the alpine events.

Most people have heard that Whistler Blackcomb is one of North America's largest ski resorts. But the charming, Euro-style, pedestrian-only village at the base of the twin mountains is also a huge draw.

Whistler Village is the area located at the base of the Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. The place features a large selection of shops, restaurants, bars and hotels, as well as other things to see and do. Whistler Village is pedestrian-friendly, with a multitude of paved trails and the pedestrian-only Village Stroll.

An earlier post in comments showing the view the other way.
