A bighorn sheep ram posing nicely for me in Waterton Park. He has his posture down, but needs to work some on his grooming. Still shedding last winter's coat. He seemed like an old pro at taking a noble stance for any photographers.

Talkeetna was one of my favorite towns on my Alaska travels. Denali and the Alaska Range rises majestically in the distance while 3 major rivers meet here (the Susitna, Chulitna and Talkeetna). This is where most climbers and aerial viewers take off for the their Denali adventure.
For those who enjoyed the old TV series Northern Exposure, Talkeetna was the town the show was based on. However, it was filmed in Roslyn WA.

A view of another favorite local peak taken from the Lion Rock ridge.
Mount Stuart (9416') is a mountain in the Cascade Range, in the U.S. state of Washington. It is the second highest non-volcanic peak in the state.

A bighorn ram with nice curling horns at rest under a large ponderosa pine trying to keep cool. He was deep in the shade with glaring light above him making for a challenging shot. He blended in so well I almost missed him.
Just another treat seen at the National Bison Range in Montana.
