Sure looks like a beautiful Autumn day, however this was taken on August 28th. As Fall is my favorite season it was a nice year as I had 3 great months of colorful fall foliage. Looking forward to this year's bounty.

The Matanuska Glacier is one of Alaska's most spectacular glaciers. It is also one of the oldest. It looms 13,000 feet high in the Chugach Mountains. It is 27 miles long, stretches four miles across and is easily seen from the Glenn Highway.

Seen here is the toe of this huge glacier. It is the largest glacier accessible by car in the United States.

Enjoy a wonderful Wednesday!

The 2nd most admired Teton Peak reflected in the famous bend of the Snake River enjoyed on an ideal autumn morning.

"Mount Moran (12,610 feet (3,840 m)) is a mountain in Grand Teton National Park of western Wyoming, USA. The mountain is named for Thomas Moran, an American western frontier landscape artist. Mount Moran dominates the northern section of the Teton Range rising 6,000 feet (1,800 m) above Jackson Lake." Wiki

"The Tetons are one of the youngest mountain ranges in North America. They have been uplifting for less than 10 million years, making them "adolescent" mountains, as compared to the "middle-aged" Rockies (60-80 million years old) or the "elderly" Appalachians (more than 300 million years old). Erosion has had much less time to work in the Tetons, comparatively, so their jagged peaks remain standing high." nps.gov

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

A fellow photog takes a shot of the Tetons on a beautiful Autumn day.

I've visited the Tetons numerous times. Most often I couldn't see them as they were shrouded in clouds. I hit the bonanza this fine day. Lots of grins and clicks.

Thanks for a taking a look. Much appreciated!

Happy Friday!

A typical scene when visiting Alberta's impressive Kananaskis Country. Here we're looking up Smuts Creek at majestic Mt. Nestor in the distance.

Today is Earth Day! We must cherish and protect our home.

“Look deep into nature and you will understand everything better.”-Einstein

“We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.”-Native American Proverb

Have a wonderful week!
