Sunrise over the Fisherman's Wharf.

Just around the corner from Victoria's Inner Harbour, Fisherman's Wharf is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. This unique marine destination offers food kiosks, unique shops and eco-tour adventures in the heart of the working harbour. Wander down the docks with your lunch, buy seafood fresh off the boat, see moored pleasure vessels and float homes, and watch as fishing vessels unload their wares.

Was a wonderful place to explore and enjoy!

Have a great weekend!

A state of extreme or perfect happiness.

On this early morning I suspect this lone fisherman on Idaho's calm Little Redfish lake felt that way while fishing for trout from his raft. I sure did walking it's shores fishing for good shots. The varied song of birds serenaded us wonderfully.

Thanks for taking a look! Always appreciated.

Happy Friday!

Looking down on a portion of one of my very favorite places to stay or visit.

Canmore is well-located between Kananaskis Country and Banff National Park. An ideal location for world class photography and stunning views in all directions.

The canal below provides the cities water. It is fed from a reservoir behind me.

Some peaks of the Fairholme Range across the valley.

Enjoy a wonderful weekend!

Just happen to contain one of the most beloved lakes in North America, Moraine Lake. A rather grand backdrop eh?

No clouds to catch the first light of this new day but the peaks caught it well by themselves. The glacial waters are at their purest and most colorful late in the season when the water level is low.

"The ten peaks were originally named by Samuel Allen, an early explorer of the region, who simply referred to them by using the numerals from one to ten in the Stoney First Nations Language. He may have learned the terms from his Native American guides, who helped him with the horses. The secluded Valley of the Ten Peaks was part of their original homeland. Gradually, though, all but three of the mountains were renamed in honor of noteworthy individuals, including Allen himself." Wikipedia

From left to right are the eight peaks in view:
Mt. Little, Mt. Bowlen, Tonsa Peak, Mt. Perren, Mt. Allen, Mt. Tuzo, Mt. Deltaform and Mt. Neptuak. I assume the other two are behind these peaks, out of view. Or they count Mt. Babel and the Tower of Babel, which are to the left.

A special memory here, as I spent 3 nights in the top left cabin during the last week of the Lodge's season many years ago. Heaven!

Happy Friday!

One of my favorite benches to sit on and soak up the view is here at Jasper's Maligne Lake. The bench isn't far from the cruise boat docks that take one to iconic Spirit Island.

The historic red-roofed Curly Phillips Boathouse is nearby with Mt. Charlton and Mt. Unwin in the distance catching the last light of this fine day.

Thank for taking a look and for any comments, faves and suggestions.
