A morning shot of this beautiful park near Banff Township after a night of wind and rain. A wonderful place for hiking, picnicking and wildlife watching.
Massive Mt. Rundle on the right.
Have a great week!

One of my favorite benches to sit on and soak up the view is here at Jasper's Maligne Lake. The bench isn't far from the cruise boat docks that take one to iconic Spirit Island.
The historic red-roofed Curly Phillips Boathouse is nearby with Mt. Charlton and Mt. Unwin in the distance catching the last light of this fine day.
Thank for taking a look and for any comments, faves and suggestions.

I started this series showing Deception Island as seen from Deception State Park. Here's the view from the south bridge.
Whidbey Island on the left and Fidalgo Island on the right.
I don't often post a series like this but wanted to share my experiences and views from here as I enjoyed it.
One more image to go from here then onward.
Happy Friday!

Looking north as the bridge crosses from Whidbey Island to Pass Island.
I walked both bridges on both sides. The sidewalks are 3 feet wide. Wish I'd waited for a semi to come across to better show how close they are to you, particularly with their wide mirrors. Vehicles move fast across the bridge. The bridges pulse and buckle some adding to the thrill as well. The views are wonderful tho, which I'll show with a few shots over the next few days.
Have a great week!
Christmas is almost here.

A fisherman tries his luck on this stormy day under this iconic PNW bridge.
It's 975 feet span = 2.7 football fields.
"First-time visitors usually see the bridge from their car. Equally impressive is the view from the beaches below. Above the water soars an achievement of vision and persistence – humans adding to nature’s scenic wonder. The bridge facilitated North Whidbey development, fostered the eventual placement of the Naval Air Station Whidbey in Oak Harbor, and became the local image that visitors thrill to see. Truly a crown, the Deception Pass Bridge has brought a new dimension of romantic flavor to this intriguing and majestic area."
