One of our neighborhood hawks that likes to hang around our bird feeders. He kept trying to hide his eyes behind that small branch, perhaps thinking I then couldn't see him.
"This bird was named after the naturalist William Cooper, one of the founders of the New York Academy of Sciences. Other common names; big blue darter, chicken hawk, hen hawk, Mexican hawk, quail hawk, striker and swift hawk." Wiki
OK, it's a seagull. I caught this upset, protective parent dive bombing me just before I ducked. The youngun's were in no danger on a shoal below in the Copper River. My camera focus could have been a bit better but I didn't know where it was going to come from next. I did admire and respect his/her concern and soon departed.
Thanks for your visit and for any comments, faves and suggestions.
Have a wonderful weekend!
