Karen and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch with a rather grand view while parked here under Hurricane Ridge. We spent most of the day here. So much variety in Olympic National Park, from rainforests to beaches to waterfalls to wildlife to majestic mountains.

Thanks for taking a look. Always appreciated!

One of favorite campsites on my Alaska trip. Boya Lake, British Columbia. A blazing sunrise with light rain adding to the enchanting mood and experience.

Here I go again.....
Off to Montana tomorrow for my last camping trip of the year. ;-(( Back in 10 days or so. Life is good. ;-))

Your views, faves and comments are always appreciated. Thank you!

The Olympic Mountains as seen from above Hurricane Ridge.

Hurricane Ridge is named for its intense gales and winds.
The ridge elevation is 5,242 feet (1,598 m).

I thought I had posted an image of the Olympic mountains. ? Did post the image in comments of the fog clearing shortly after we arrived. Better get to processing some more.....

Karen was waiting in the truck camper below. We were the first to arrive this day and almost the last to leave. Parked out of the way and settled in for a day of wonder and wandering.

Thanks for taking a look and sharing any thoughts or suggestions.

Have a great weekend!

A view of the parking lot at Palouse Falls and the canyon downstream of the falls. Thought I'd share a different perspective of this special place.

A view of the falls just to the left of this image in comments.

RV's aren't allowed here, however since my truck camper takes up no more room than a long bed truck I could spend the night here. Was wonderful.

Your visits, comments and support are appreciated!

Karen and I are heading out for the last big camping trip of the year in our truck camper. Heading for Banff and Jasper area, which is tops so far in my travels. Looking forward to some good image hunting, both landscapes and wildlife. I suspect I'll fill up a few memory cards....

Some of you will remember that my wife Karen had major ankle surgery in February. She hasn't been able to hike with me for the past few years. We've really missed that. The surgery seems to have worked well and she will be able to do some light hiking with me on this trip. We're both excited about that. Thanks to all of you who kept her in your thoughts and prayers.

Smiles by the miles ahead.

May your Autumn get off to a great start!
