You've seen the south Deception Pass Bridge from various angles, heres looking north thru it's intricate and sturdy frame.

"In 1982, the bridge was listed in the National Register of Historic Places ahead of a repainting project that cost more than the original construction cost. A second repainting was completed in 1997. A third repainting project began in May 2019 and is expected to be completed in late 2021 at a cost of $22.6 million. The bridge will retain its current color, named "Evergreen Green", using lead-free paint. Wiki

Thanks for following along as I shared my experiences seeing, walking and exploring these two iconic Pacific NW bridges.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Christmas is near.....
Safe travels!

Spokane's Manito Park covers 90 acres comprised of five major garden areas (the Nishinomiya Tsutakawa Japanese Garden, Duncan Garden, Rose Hill, Lilac Garden and Ferris Perennial Garden), Manito Park is nationally recognized for its diverse horticultural displays.

Duncan Garden was originally called the Sunken Garden, created when Manito’s first superintendent hauled out 42,500 wagon loads of dirt that were used in the gardens of all the city’s parks. The formal garden was designed and built in 1912 by John Duncan, Manito’s second superintendent. The garden was designed in a classical European Renaissance style with a central water feature and geometrical planting beds. The garden spans three acres and includes colorful annual bedding plants and more than 20 plants species. To celebrate Manito’s centennial in 2004, a gazebo was constructed at the south end of the garden.

Thanks for taking a look!

An old solo snag hangs on above Glacier Park's Swiftcurrent Creek at sunrise.

Old trees like this move me....old weathered survivors holding on far past their prime. When I return to favorite spots like this I seek out old friends that I've shared time and beautiful experiences with, like I did on this fine morning in the dark listening to Swiftcurrent Falls below as I patiently waited for first light to appear.

Not sure what kind of tree this is/was. Any ideas?

Wishing you All a wonderful Easter weekend!
