Some interesting shadows created in the mist by the low sun catching the tops of a line of trees. Corfe Castle, Dorset.

The low sun looked so good through the mist a few days ago that I couldn't resist stopping on my way to work and grabbing this shot. Bannerdale, Sheffield

Something of a photographic cliche but I couldn't resist stopping to take an image at this iconic Lakeland landmark!

Some great light bursting through at the end of a stormy day. This was taken from the pole at Longshaw Estate.

I visited this location on the Mizen Peninsula in County Cork for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The castle comprises three fortified towers dividing the isthmus connecting 'Three Castles Head' with the mainland. Beyond the headland is Dunmanus Bay, with Sheep's Head Peninsula beyond that. The original castle dates back over 800 years and has some interesting and tragic history. The O’Donoghues were said to be the last family to live there and they allegedly all died in tragic circumstances. There is a legend of a ghostly White Lady that walks the area.
