Another from a fantastic misty morning on Buttermere with Terry Roberts, the Lakes is odd sometimes and I mean that in a good way, as this really wan't the type of thing I expected to be shooting this morning in this location but the constantly changing weather was really dictating what I was shooting, which I don't mind as it keeps you on your toes and stops you falling into the trap of just shooting the same things as you have before, although admittedly at this location that's not really such a bad thing, but far better to come away with something unique.

The mist here this mornoing came, went, came again, went again, and then as the wind dropped it rolled in again all over the lake moving really quickly, so as a photographer shooting this I also had to move really quickly as one image that would be available one second, would be gone the next, I really liked this scene with the first sunlight starting to burn off the mist with the sunlight hitting the Autumn coloured foliage behind standing out against the dark mountainside.

Not long after the arrival of the sunlight the mist was gone and there was no hint of what had been an incredible scene just moments before.

For any of you guys that haven't voted yet - I've reached the final 12 shortlisted images of the Lakeland Photography Prize 2019, and I would humbly ask that I would really appreciate votes for my image (only if you like it of course)

It's totally free, The voting is at the bottom of the page that can be found here -

Voting is on until Nov 1 & I'd really appreciate any support :-)
