There's no place like an English seaside resort on a wet day. The urge to find some space and fresh air was so great I decided that I would trust the weather forecast that the rain would cease at 8.am. So I timed my arrival for that time. Of course that's when it started to rain! Heavily, and for the next hour and a half. Unsurprisingly I had virtually the whole 4km between the south and north pier to myself. Well apart from Darcy in her pink rain coat. We both got thoroughly soaked through.
What a lousy outing. And things just got worse.
