I had almost delivered the last Christmas cake of the day, yesterday, when I passed Woodside ferry terminal. It had been a sparkling bright (but cold) day with the fields frosted and snowed white. And time and time again I wanted to stop immediately and take a shot. But that's a No-No even I won't even disobey on a motorway, and in general I'm pretty dedicated to my work and won't skive.
But I would only pull up for a few seconds at Woodside and perhaps take a shot of the world's first submarine or the U-boat, or go into the glorious old Victorian ferry terminal which is more like a large park pavilion. But then I could see the dazzle painted ferry called Snowdrop tied up by the jetty. Just as I approached, it quickly moved off. But I liked the result which forced me to include the jetty fixings, and that background with the fabulous cathedral on the skyline.
