HABITAT

HABITAT
The will to live, in other words, self-preservation, is common to all living species on Earth. It is the foundation of life itself to reproduce, develop, and evolve. If human beings share this instinct with all other forms of life, their will to live must go beyond their biological algorithms, those of a dominant species.
The human will to live must call upon its expanded consciousness, intelligence, knowledge, capacity for imagination, and, ultimately, its sense of responsibility to live well in an interdependent world shared with other species. In short, humanity must demonstrate an evolved art of inhabiting its planet. Inhabit it wisely to better protect the natural habitats essential to our own will to live and other species as well, for the common good.
From the top of the immense rocky cliff that overlooked the sea, I could observe, in amazement, thousands of seabirds circling, diving, nesting, socialize with different species in a thunder of cries. That day, an idea imposed itself on me in a pressing way: habitats are indeed the central, familiar, and secure core of the existence of species, the link between life and beings. And we must treat them as such: with respect.

Skies of Poësia
I walk, aimlessly, in a frozen desert, without a horizon
And my shadow follows me closely
As if she was frightened to find herself there, with her only reference point
This skinny tree, planted there like a scarecrow, faces the vastness of the universe.
My consciousness wanders, then stops on an insistent idea...
— My thoughts are made half of sky ! * —
Like in this ocean feeling
Which accompanies the great impulses.
The skies of Poësia form a language
Of those who set the tone and mood for stories and ideas
Which accompany the great impulses.
Who knows where this path leads?
To understand it, you have to commit in a vital Odyssey
An adventure of emancipation in which
Thoughts are made half of skies.

THE FIRST MORNING
It was not a morning like any other. It was the first. The horizon unfolded before us and the dawn within us. The story had yet to find its conclusion. And the movement inhabited me, as it inhabits all the living beings of our world and all the manifestations of the Universe…
__________
Everything is movement, evolution, transformation, destruction, and creation. A slow and linear movement or, sometimes, fast and unpredictable, of the order of rupture and creation. Everything is transient, ephemeral. On the human scale of time, we can only perceive the momentary consequences, the forms taken by the phenomena in transition during this very short period of time that human life lasts. In this shimmering world, certainties are only worth a moment.
If the enigma of life is hidden from us, we know that it is in it - in all its forms - that the marvelous resides, here in this living world, the Earth. Hence, our responsibility as humans is to co-inhabit our World with respect and consideration for all the other forms of life that have made us who we are. * After which, and only then, we will be prepared to reach the stars in search of other forms of life.
_____________
… The wind knows the secrets of passing time. He called out to me by my name, as he did for all forms of life marked by the same origin and inextricably linked to this living world: the time had come to undertake this vital Odyssey, here and now.

* (Beatles- John Lennon)

THE FABULOUS JOURNEY
The man, in the small boat, liked to say that he crossed the Universe each time he took off on the big river by a starry sky. As, if the Universe itself was contained in its microcosm.
The marvellous was enough for him, right here… sometimes with a telescope pointed towards the sky. He was aware of the vastness of the world and our immense fragility.
He knew he was a lucky man to travel through this shimmering world, and he was accepting, with modesty, the part of the mystery that was hidden from him.
Crossing the Universe, he said, is an enchanted journey that begins in oneself and continues here with the song of whales, belugas, seabirds... and the beating of the heart of the sea, of its Earth. That evening, returning to port, he listened to the song Across the Universe* on his modest player, hoping that nothing would change in his world. * (Beatles - John Lennon)

TERRE VIVANTE

LIVING EARTH
There is something indicible in the beauty of our world, a vital energy that transcends and unites all forms of earthly life through its invisible, inextricably linked "roots". We recognize it by wonder, this human faculty to feel with joy, enthusiasm, and curiosity, the mystery that hides behind the reality that surrounds us.
Wonder is a door, the door to a vital Odyssey, which I have named Poësia.

A little boy, crouching near the shore, poured a container filled with seawater into the hole he had dug in the sand. His surprise was total when he noticed, delighted, the reflection of his face in the water. But the water quickly disappeared absorbed by the ground. He scratched the bottom curiously, got up, looked at the sunny sea, and stamped with joy at the empty hole. Wonder had just opened the first chapter of a long odyssey.
