I've been away from Flickr for quite a long time now, ever since my old laptop kicked the bucket some months back. It didn't take long for me to secure a new laptop, and although it's way better in some respects, I feel like it's lacking in one of the most important aspects for photography: its display. So I've been struggling for a long time with editing my stuff, and to be honest, I haven't been enjoying it. I feel like I'm wrestling with the hardware to get something I'm not even sure looks decent out of it, and so I basically just stopped doing it for a while :( But the longer that drags on, the more the excuse feels like just that - an excuse - and not one substantial enough to warrant completely throwing in the towel. And anyway, I'll be moving soon(ish) and I'll be trying to put together a new computer with the quickness, along with a nice IPS monitor. Hopefully :P Until then, I may be uploading some slightly dodgily-edited pics, though I hope they're still somewhat pleasant to look at. Now more than ever, any constructive criticism would be appreciated, as then maybe I can get a clue as to what ways the monitor is skewing my images, and act accordingly. Cheers y'all :) |
