On April 2010, my friends, Bima and Maya asked me to take photographs of their Marriage Montract (Bahasa: Akad Nikah) procession in Maya’s house. In Islam, this marriage contract that witnessed by both sides father (with their mother too), relatives, and neighbours, is a procession to legitimate a couple to be man and wife. in this procession they bind themselves to each other and promised to be together after death do them apart. It’s a moment for their parents, especially from the woman sides to let go their beloved daughter to the man that she had chosen to be his leader in the family. This moment is a joyfull moment that had been waited for every couple in Islam.
