A few days after the eruption of Mount Sinabung in Karo regency of North Sumatra in late August 2010, many residents who live around the area were evacuated to Kabanjahe, the capital city of Karo Regency. Jambur itself is a place that build by the Karonese tribes that oftenly used to celebrate a religious, marriage, and many other events. At the time of Mount Sinabung volcanic eruption this place change into a shelter.
These chilren were one of so many children who are displaced after the eruption of Mount Sinabung in Karo Regency is housed in one of Jambur in the City Kabanjahe. The boy who stood on the image looks drool on fruits in a small plastic bag on the girl's hand. After the volcanic eruption of Mount Sinabung in Karo District, many schools had closed down until safe conditions announced by the government for the children who participated fled with his parents to attend school again.

This fine gentleman, Mr Sembiring from the Sembiring Clan, that i had met at the shelter came from Barusjahe, one village near Mount Sinabung whom all the villagers was evacuated from the village told that he had been in the shelter from the first day Mount Sinabung erupted on August 29, 2009. He left his house at Barusjahe village with all his family.
