This is a photograph of Lake Limides. Lake Limides is a small high mountain lake set in an elongated basin, south-east of the Falzarego pass and north of Mt. Croda Negra, where the layers of dolomite stone are waterproofed by red clay.
It is a reasonable hike to the lake from the car park, but well worth the visit.

The famous Victoria falls, also known as Mosi O Tunya, as seen from the Zimbabwe side. I went over to the Zambian side, but it was dry season with no water cascading down the rocks whatsoever!

This is a photograph of a Leopard bringing down and killing and Impala: taken in Moremi national park, Botswana.
The Story: A group of photographers gathered around a tree waiting for the Leopard to pounce on a herd of Impala eating beneath. For some reason the Impala had no sense of awareness that a deadly predator was in their midst. The Leopard waited for what was about 30 minutes before it jumped from a tree on to a male Impala 5 metres or 16 feet below. The scene was stunning and unbelievable; a tracker was with us and said he had never seen a Leopard hunting and killing this way after jumping from a great height. A unique and stunning experience.
